Sleep Apnoea

Obstructive sleep apnoea is a disorder in which breathing is briefly and repeatedly interrupted during sleep. For people with sleep apnoea, the combination of disturbed sleep and oxygen starvation may lead to hypertension, heart disease, mood and memory problems. Sleep apnea also increases the risk of automobile crashes.

Symptoms of sleep apnoea may include feeling unrefreshed upon waking, feeling sleepy during the day, or difficulties concentrating or retaining information. Your partner may notice that you snore. If you are experiencing these symptoms, do not hesitate to discuss this with our dentists. They will be able to direct you to the appropriate care.
