What Is a CEREC Crown?
Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (CEREC) is an advanced dental system that allows us to create and fit a custom-designed ceramic crown in one single appointment. As always, all treatment plans and timelines vary based on each patient's unique case.
Traditionally, getting a crown meant multiple visits, temporary crowns, and impressions using dental putty. With CEREC, we use digital 3D imaging to scan your tooth, design your
crown with precision, and then mill it in-house from a high-strength ceramic material that matches your natural tooth colour.
Drs Will, Trang, and Bao are all highly trained in staining and glazing techniques, ensuring your crown blends seamlessly with your natural teeth. Once it’s ready, we bond the crown securely to your tooth, without the need for a follow-up visit.
